We want to welcome y'all to Trapper's Rendezvous. Whether you're a family on holiday, honeymooners, girls on getaway, a hunting team, or motorcycle group, we like to get to know everyone, spend time with you or advise you on your future explorations. This is where you want to be to enjoy a relaxing visit with your newest 'old friends.'
Meet the Innkeepers, Sherry Beneda and Rod Baldwin
Sherry was born and raised in Lakewood, Colorado in the foothills of the Rockies. There she enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing, skiing and exploring the forests and old towns. After a long career in printing, and the need to pursue a different work experience, she moved to Montana in 2000 to enjoy more outdoor experiences and was the part time manager of a small motel near the gateway to Glacier National park.
Rod was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and raised in southern California. There he enjoyed surfing, camping and traveling back to Michigan. He moved his family in the late 1970s to northern California and became involved with construction. After a lucrative career and a chance to travel, he settled in Santa Rosa to be near his daughter and grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time at his brother's ranch in Arizona, riding horses on trails, cookouts and campfires, and grew to love the area.
A Combined Career
Rod and Sherry met in July of 2004 while Rod was on a motorcycle trip to Glacier National Park and after many phone conversations, Sherry moved to Santa Rosa to be with him. In 2012, they decided to pursue a combined career and moved to Seligman, AZ to manage a motel. They liked the town and gained some wonderful friends, including many guests along the way.
An Ideal Opportunity
When the opportunity came up to run Trapper’s Rendezvous, they decided it would be a great fit in the quiet, peaceful hills, closer to fishing, hiking and adventure and yet close to town. They are happy to have this opportunity to meet people from around the world and learn about different cultures. Allow them to show you all the places to explore in Williams and the surrounding area.
We hope to create a western hospitality & social environment where folks can meet and share a story or two sitting in the pavilion or under the stars. Dining with other guests and sharing their experiences. We love children and will make them feel special and help them to appreciate the outdoors.
We hope you’ll come on by for a night or two and share some of your time with us.
